Hiz Temple Press Release

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THROUGH APPAREL, BOOKS, AND MEDIA CAMPAIGN, HIZTEMPLE ASKS AND ANSWERS: WHAT DOES BEAUTY LOOK LIKE?
(Charlotte, N.C.) Inspirational messages on cute tees are everywhere in today’s market, but Hiz Temple has set out to use apparel and media to make a bigger difference in the lives of teens and women in particular. Hiz Temple asks: What does beauty look like? And aims to help all answer: It looks like me.
“I’m hoping someone will be inspired, will be empowered, will be motivated to stand up in front of a mirror and finally see and say beauty looks like me,” says Monica G. Wood, creator of the line and campaign. “I want to elevate the conversation about what beauty looks like.”
Most of her life, Wood has dealt with cystic acne, which produced varying negative emotions and thoughts about her self-image. But her journey has brought her to a place of acceptance and ultimately to being able to gaze into the mirror and see her beauty. She wants that for every woman and girl.
The goal of Hiz Temple is to empower women and girls to embody positivity, promote and have healthy self-esteem and be an illuminating influence on their peers through answering the question: What do I see and say about myself and others? Hiz Temple was created to encourage spiritual enrichment, self-respect, and express examples of a bold love for God through faith-influenced gear and books.
The apparel line includes t-shirts that boast: I am divinely designed, Beauty looks like me, Hiz will is my why, and more. Another line produced by Hiz Temple features the message Beauty is soul deep. The proceeds from this campaign go to the Soul Deep Project Foundation, a Christian based non-profit organization focused on developing and promoting messages of self-esteem, love and relational respect through programs, workshops, and products.
In addition to the inspirational apparel, Wood has released several children’s books around the subject of beauty within, and in February of 2020 to celebrate Black History, Hiz Temple released blog posts featuring different women sharing their definitions of beauty and how they got to the place of loving themselves.
Hiz Temple is a movement created to empower women and youth to have a healthy response to the question, “What do I see and say about myself?” through apparel, books and media campaigns.
